Mineral Specimen Size Information
.
On each crystal and mineral specimen you will see an acronym under the description of the product to give you an idea of the size of the piece. Generally, our photos do
not give you a definite idea of the size specimen that it is, so these acronyms, as well as the photos posted below will give you a good reference point to the size of the mineral
that you're looking at.
Sizing Acronyms in Millimeters
MO (Micro) | These need to be seen with a
loop or a magnifying glass. Size varies.
TN (Thumbnail) | These crystals/minerals will
have a max dimension of 37mm.
** Keep in mind, these are just a few examples that fit within the
range of this mineral specimen size guide. The piece you receive may look
larger or smaller than the ones pictured. If you want to know the exact size of
the mineral that you are ordering, it is best that you find a tool that
measures millimeters and see for yourself using the provided measurements on
each mineral specimen page.
